Gilles Pitschen regularly advises companies in corporate and commercial legal issues, including intellectual property protection and regulatory issues; he also represents companies and private clients in M&A and contractual negotiations; he resolves and litigates contractual and tortious disputes; he also advises private clients in questions of inheritance and business succession.

Academic Background

Gilles studied law at the University of Zurich and received his law degree in 2008. In 2013, he received a PhD with a dissertation dealing with the Swiss stock exchange and listed companies which was awarded “magna cum laude”.

While working on his doctoral research, Gilles attended several courses for doctoral students at the Swiss National Bank’s Study Center Gerzensee, Bern, in the field of Law & Economics; additionally, he attended a program on advanced studies in international sports organizations at the University of Zurich for which he received a certificate upon completion in March, 2011.

In 2018 he obtained an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Law (Distinction) from King's College London.


Professional Activities

Gilles was a scientific assistant for Prof. Dr. Peter Nobel at the Chair for Swiss and International Business Law, University of Zurich, from 2007 to 2011.

He then joined Nobel & Hug in January 2012 and was admitted to the Bar for the Canton of Zurich in April, 2014.
