Dr. Isabel Stirnimann studied law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) from where she graduated in 1994. As a student, she worked with the International Students’ Committee (ISC) on the organization of the Management Symposium at the University of St. Gallen. From 1993 to 1995, she was an assistant to Prof. Carl Baudenbacher at the Institute of European and International Business Law of the University of St. Gallen. In 2000, she earned her doctoral degree with the distinction “summa cum laude”. Her dissertation was on the topic, “Ancillary Restraints in EU Merger Control”. The dissertation was awarded the “Walther-Hug”-Prize by the University of St. Gallen as well as by the Walther Hug-Foundation.
Dr. Isabel Stirnimann has been with Nobel & Hug since 1997 (partner since 2013). She was admitted to the Bar of the Canton of Zurich in 2000. Since then, she has primarily been involved with corporate law mandates, questions concerning banking and capital market law as well as Swiss and European antitrust law and handles diverse Spanish language matters.
